The aim of the national project is the extension of SmartHUB and the replacement of outdated peripheral devices in all document departments of the District Directorates of the Police Force. In the future state, the SmartHUB device will be added, which forms the interface between the biometric peripherals and the workstation of the unified workplace. The single site will communicate with SmartHUB via the network interface and is connected to the network management via the second network interface. SmartHUB will be operated on CentOS7 and will allow the software to be downloaded from the SmartHUB server management. The workstation of the single workplace will not have any licenses and drivers for peripheral devices installed. At the same time, in a future state, the peripheral devices exchanged will be the same or equivalent to those delivered under the pilot solution: existing devices will be used for barcode scanning, for signature scanning, for facial image scanning, for fingerprint scanning, for reading documents for reading smart cards, for entering security codes existing devices will be used. Main objectives of the project: Reduction of the risk related to the failure of workplaces in the document departments of the Police Force and the related interruption of the provision of services. Ensuring the provision of services in the document departments of the Police Force without the need to perform an upgrade of the application software. Ensuring the necessary refurbishment of peripheral equipment beyond its lifetime.
