The purpose of the national project ZIVSE 2 is to increase the innovation performance of the economy of the Slovak Republic. This will be achieved through several activities aimed at promoting innovation in enterprises, improving cooperation between enterprises and research institutions, and increasing the competitiveness of Slovak companies. The project also aims to simplify bureaucratic processes for innovators so that they can devote more time to creativity and research. The project also has a strong focus on supporting cluster organisations that play a key role in regional economic development. Clusters are clusters of companies, research institutions and others working together to boost innovation performance and competitiveness. The aim is to improve the performance of these clusters and strengthen their excellence through strategic advice and performance evaluation. Expected results: Fostering knowledge and technology transfer: Ensuring access to professional skills, services and knowledge, helping to develop new or improve existing products. Providing resources for innovation: Financial support for the implementation of innovations and necessary support activities in business entities throughout Slovakia. Expertise and strategic advice: Help entrepreneurs identify opportunities for innovation, design solutions and plan their implementation. Improving the performance of clusters: Support cluster organisations in their involvement in regional economic development and improve their innovation performance. Creation of background for continuous improvement of clusters: Supporting the continuous development and progression towards excellence of cluster organisations and their staff. Concrete results: Granting of aid to 419 businesses: Under both main project activities, aid will be split between VRR (Highly Developed Regions) and MRR (Less Developed Regions). Supporting 380 unique businesses: Through innovative vouchers and comprehensive innovative online advice. Development of cluster organisations: Through the Cluster Excellence Platform and strategic advice. Supporting 39 unique enterprises within clusters: Including new businesses that will be supported through sub-activities.
