The subject of the project is: Implementation of software and hardware tools for information and cybersecurity following the risks identified in the audit, Financing of salary expenses of the Cybersecurity Manager. After the implementation of the project, the MD SR will be ready to manage information and cyber security (IB and KB) more effectively and to face internal and external threats in the area of IB and KB. The MD SR does not currently have sufficient financial, technological and personnel resources to carry out all necessary activities to the extent required by the KB Act. The main beneficiary of the project is the MD SR, and the employees / users of the information systems of the MD SR. The indirect beneficiary is Slovak citizens and entities communicating with the MD SR or using the MD SR agenda systems. As a result of the measures introduced, which will increase the level of protection of information systems, the failure or negative impact of security incidents on the proper functioning of the Ministry of the Interior and the provision of services to citizens and entrepreneurs will be minimised. The project complies with the National Concept of Informatisation of Public Administration 2021 and the Decree of the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatisation of the Slovak Republic No 401/2023 on project management and change requirements in the operation of public administration information technologies.
