Electronic National Register of Transport Information

The aim of the project is to create a central system for the collection, management, and evaluation of data and the provision of data and services for transport, serving as a national access point under European legislation. The necessary steps to achieve the objective(s) are: Setting up and harmonising processes for the collection of traffic information as regards the provision of information services for safe and secure parking places for trucks and commercial vehicles. Setting up and harmonising traffic data collection processes to provide road safety-related minimum universal traffic information free of charge. Setting up and harmonising processes for the collection of traffic data for the provision of EU-wide real-time traffic information services. Increasing the general availability of up-to-date, verified, authorised, digitally geographically located and coded traffic information from the whole territory of Slovakia for rational decision-making. Monitoring and evaluation of current traffic and other traffic-engineering characteristics on individual (especially traffic-loaded and backbone) sections of the road network in real time. The aim is to guide road users to respond to the current traffic situation that awaits them and to adapt their driving patterns to it. This will ensure a more efficient and safer use of the road network. Real-time reporting of traffic events – this means providing information on both expected and unexpected traffic events to traffic users on identified traffic sections. The service may be used before or during the journey using different information channels and should consist of both general and personalised information and on-demand information. The main objective of real-time reporting of traffic events is to increase the safety and fluidity of road traffic. Expected and unexpected events can develop into bottlenecks due to sudden decisions by poorly informed drivers. Providing comprehensive information about public passenger transport in one place - the aim is to provide the opportunity to efficiently find a connection by means of public transport for the most efficient decision to be made by the public about the way and time of travel to the desired destination. Current knowledge of delays and the location of individual connections will be included to determine the appropriate connection reflecting the actual situation. It foresees a future extension to the full search for connections using all modes of public transport, individual transport and other aspects such as weather effects. Implementation of the concept of Mobility as a Service (MaaS), where transport services provided by different providers of shared mobility means of transport and providers of public transport services are integrated into an ecosystem that allows users, when planning their transport route, to choose the means of transport on offer that they want to use in a multimodal transport chain. Creation of licensing services. Creation of services for transport permits. Provision of open interfaces for the use of data by third parties. Reducing negative environmental impacts and reducing the energy intensity of transport.
