The main objective of the project is to support the innovation of study programmes at universities by creating subjects that will be focused on education increasing the entrepreneurial and innovation potential of students, acquiring relevant knowledge and developing key entrepreneurial skills. Graduation of the created course aims to support students in the implementation of their own business ideas, but also to increase their readiness for the needs of the current labour market. Last but not least, the project aims to strengthen the link between academia and the business environment through cooperation with experienced practitioners. The IO will contribute to achieving the following results defined in the Slovak Partnership Agreement for 2021-2027: Improving the practical approach in vocational education and training, the higher education system for the RIS3 domains, including the related infrastructure, aligning the provision of skills and competences with the needs of the RIS3 domains, providing skills for workers and building a workforce equipped with key skills for the RIS3 domains, developing a wider and more flexible offer of education and training responding to changes in skills demand in the RIS3 domains; Enhanced links and broad mutual cooperation between businesses, employers and education providers and other providers of relevant skills and competences for RIS3 domains. The implementation of the project is expected to contribute to the improvement and modernisation of higher education in the field of entrepreneurial and innovation skills of students in order to support and motivate creative young people. Completion of the created course within the innovative study programme should increase the competences of students, who will be better prepared for the needs of the labour market or for the start of their own business project. The expected benefit of the project is also the strengthening of the link between the public sector represented by public universities and the private sector represented by business entities whose active involvement in the educational process is part of the foreseen activities of the project. At the same time, connecting universities with the business environment is meant to increase the implementation of students' innovative ideas in practice. The set of measures in place also foresees a reduction in the percentage of secondary school pupils and higher education students going to study or work abroad.
