Construction of sewerage network, wastewater treatment plants, decentralised urban wastewater management systems and water supply systems - Streda nad Bodrogom - sewerage and WWTP

The project "Centra nad Bodrogom – sewerage and WWTP" is fully in line with EU and Slovak strategies and concepts, in particular Council Directive 91/271/EEC concerning urban waste water treatment, which requires ensuring the collection and treatment of urban waste water in agglomerations with more than 2 000 equivalent inhabitants (EO). In view of this directive, the project aims to build a new sewage network and waste water treatment plant for the municipality of Streda nad Bodrogom, which will cover the entire agglomeration. The project will be implemented on land owned by the municipality of Streda nad Bodrogom. The construction of the WWTP will be located in the extra-village of the village. Once completed, the WWTP will serve 2,383 Equivalent Population (EO), with a planned capacity of up to 2,900 EO, providing space for the future development of the territory. The project fully covers the entire agglomeration and ensures the connection of all inhabitants to the new sewage and wastewater treatment plant. The project also reflects the legislative requirements of the Slovak Republic, namely Slovak Government Regulation No 269/2010 laying down requirements for achieving good water status, and supports the protection of groundwater and surface water in accordance with EU and Slovak environmental standards.
