The implementation of the project will ensure the extension and improvement of the quality of separate collection within the meaning of the Waste Act. Within the project will be expanded sortedcollectively degradable waste, bulky and construction waste. Hazardous waste will not be sorted by the municipality in the submitted project. Increasing the capacity of the separate collection of municipal waste will be ensured through the construction of a collection yard and the purchase of equipment and technology. By investing in waste management infrastructure, the municipality will support the streamlining of the existing waste sorting system and the increase in the amount of sorted waste fractions that are destined for secondary treatment, thus reducing the amount of mixed municipal waste and waste disposed of by landfilling. As part of the project, the municipality will primarily manage these types of waste – biodegradable waste, bulky waste and construction waste.
