The implementation of the ITI project will contribute to the specific objective of the PSK ‘Promoting sustainable multimodal urban mobility as part of the transition to a net-zero carbon economy’; through the modernisation and reconstruction of infrastructure for ITS and urban rail transport. The result of the project is the provision of the implementation project documentation and the subsequent implementation phase of the project. The construction of the terminal will allow passengers within the Integrated Transport System (ITS) to switch seamlessly and quickly from ITS track-based means of transport to ITS public transport and vice versa. The construction of the terminal will create a transfer point between transport modes and systems that will allow the redirection of other transport modes to rail. The proposed construction solution and technical equipment of the personal terminal should serve the smooth transfer of persons. The construction of integrated passenger terminals and their integration into the network of the integrated transport system creates more favourable and better quality conditions for passengers using public passenger transport, which will incentivise residents of the sites in question to favour public passenger transport over individual car transport. This impact on the division of transport work will be reflected in smaller car intensities on the road, fewer emerging congestions, fewer emissions, higher network capacity and, last but not least, more efficient traffic management. The main benefits of the project are: - increasing the attractiveness of public passenger transport through the construction of a new transfer terminal, - improving the quality of services provided by public passenger transport (saving travel time, increasing the range of services, increasing comfort and reliability, etc.), - infrastructure enabling an increase in the share of public passenger transport passengers in the division of transport work, - reducing negative environmental impacts (reduction of noise load and CO2, NO2 and PM10 emissions). The implementation of the project by increasing the attractiveness of public passenger transport will contribute to increasing the share of public passenger transport in the division of transport work and the substitution of individual car transport for rail or other public transport, thereby promoting sustainable mobility and the resilience of the transport system in the territory of the Bratislava region. Enhancing sustainable mobility and the resilience of the transport system is a strategic objective of the Integrated Territorial Strategy 2021-2027 ('IUS'). Within the framework of the IUS, priority 1.D. Ensure the development of an integrated public passenger transport system, specific objective 1.D.1 Improvement of the integrated transport system and modernisation of the vehicle fleet. The project will also contribute to the reduction of negative environmental impacts in the Bratislava self-governing region in the form of emission reductions precisely through the reduction of the share of individual car transport. The implementation of the main project activities will achieve the declared target values of measurable project indicators in the following way: Measurable indicator PSKPSOI02 - The number of created documentation, analyses, studies and reports in connection with the preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation with a target value of 1 pc will be filled with the supplied project documentation and demonstrated by the Takeover Protocol to the DSPRS and related engineering activities at the end of the implementation of the main project activities. Measurable indicator PSKPSOI19 - The number of built and modernized infrastructure to support public passenger transport with a target value of 1 pc will be filled with the realization of the construction (work) and demonstrated by the Takeover Protocol to the construction in accordance with the Contract for Work at the end of the implementation of the main activities of the project. Measurable indicator PSKPRCR62 - Annual users of new or upgraded public transport with a target of 751 483 users/year will be met within the project sustainability framework. Measurable indicator PSKPRCO060 - Measurable indicator PSKPRCO060 - Large cities and towns with new or modernized digitized urban transport systems, will be filled with the realization of construction (works) and the supply and incorporation of technology. The number of security of tariff, information and dispatching systems with the target value of 1 will be demonstrated by the acceptance protocol for the construction in accordance with the Contract for Work at the end of the implementation of the main activities of the project.
