As part of the project, the I/64 road will be reconstructed in the Rajecká Lesná – Rajec section in order to eliminate the unsatisfactory structural and technical condition of the road body, increase the fluidity and safety of transport. The project addresses the removal of point deficiencies on the addressed section, such as network breakdowns of the road, unbearable subsoil, unsatisfactory condition of the passes and drainage, and at the same time, by extending the edges, making the junctions operational and installing safety devices throughout the entire section of the construction, it adjusts the road parameters to meet the standard parameters required for the 1st class road. The objectives of the project are to improve the transport situation of the site, the conditions for the protection of the life and health of the inhabitants, the protection of the environment, the prevention and balanced development of the region. Last but not least, the reduction of accidents on the 1st class road.
