Living in a community for every child

The purpose of the project is to support the continuity of the DI substitute care process, to create the conditions for living in the community, as well as to improve the conditions for the performance of professional work by employees, including professional foster parents. The transition of self-organized groups (SUS) into newly built RD and MD into purchased apartments will bring with it the expected results: placed children, MD will have the opportunity to grow up in premises approaching the real space in ordinary families. This means that children and MDs will naturally be confronted with the environment of family life as such, will be integrated, socialized into the community's society. To the maximum extent possible, an individual and differentiated approach to children and MDs will be ensured in order to prepare them for life in every aspect, including self-service work (shopping, food preparation, cleaning, other household chores, care for the surroundings of the house, apartment, neighbourhood relations) and preparation for teaching, more realistically stimulate the family atmosphere and the image of the running of the family with all its features, completely eliminate the great noise characteristic of large homes, prevent the constant movement of children and MDs from the group to the group during the day and evening, create space for children to participate and co-determine more often and of better quality together with adults in the overall course and atmosphere in the group, a more individual approach of the educator to the child will create a greater platform of his cooperation with the child's biological family, minimize the anonymity of things and activities, the absence of mass activities and the breakdown of regimen elements, and significantly increase the intimacy of the group. The purchase of dwellings will give MD the opportunity to become completely independent and to meet the needs of everyday life. The implementation of the project should reach the number of users of new or upgraded alternative care facilities 124 users/year (in MRR this should be 114 users/year and in VRR 10 users/year) and the new or upgraded capacity of the alternative care facilities should be 112 persons (in MRR this should be 102 persons and in VRR 10 persons). In accordance with the concept of DI substitute care, the objects will be used for a long time. The purpose of the project is also to support professional families, whether by purchasing an apartment or providing the necessary motor vehicle, medical equipment or ICT equipment. The project will also support the mobility of staff between CDR buildings, as well as children taking trips, visits to doctors and examinations. The adaptation of motor vehicles will also support the mobility of disabled children and adapt motor vehicles to meet the needs of working with the child’s family so that they have the necessary equipment. The purchase of medical devices will support the implementation of measures of social and legal protection of children and social guardianship (SPODaSK) in residential form (including professional foster families), as well as for lending to the parents (or other persons caring for the child) of the child in order to prevent the placement of the child in the CDR on the basis of a court decision. The purchase of ICT equipment will support the improvement of the quality of childcare, in professional foster families, support the work of expert teams or the performance of measures with biological and foster families, and, of course, support the children themselves in preparing for schooling, the overall information literacy of children and young adults, support their skills, motor skills and overall psychomotor development.
