The most serious, direct consequence of the armed conflict in Ukraine is the large number of refugees who, in order to protect their own life and health and protect their loved ones, immediately after the outbreak of the conflict daily in thousands, persisting currently in hundreds, cross the border with the Slovak Republic. Given the unpredictability of developments in Ukraine, people fleeing armed conflict and its consequences need to be provided with care and assistance in addition to initial intervention. This consists in providing medium- to long-term accommodation. Background in the form of a secure suitable place for living is the first and basic precondition for starting to deal with the difficult situation, space for creating a temporary background and possibilities for the departed from Ukraine to actively address the application in everyday life in an environment where they can not predict the length of their stay. The purpose of the project is therefore to contribute to the integration of persons of the target group in the territory of the Slovak Republic by financing part of the costs related to their housing. The expected result will be to mitigate the socio-economic impact of persons fleeing Ukraine from the war on the territory of the Slovak Republic through the integration of the displaced into society and their social inclusion. Securing medium-term housing provides basic living conditions for the departed, which are related to the subsequent willingness to look for employment, the inclusion of children in school, comprehensive application in life and full integration into society without further support from the state.
