The evaluation of 10 commercial cotton varieties in terms of their resistance to two drought intensities under controlled conditions and using a high-precision phenotypic platform is the subject of the proposed act. Its objectives are summarized a in informing farmers and seed marketing companies about the selection of the most suitable variety b in the systematic and reliable recording and storage in a database of the phenotypic characteristics of the varieties for use by precision farming models and crop decision-making systems c in investigating correlation of phenotypic indicators with resistance to abiotic stresses for use in future improvement efforts.
