The Green Data Center and Supercomputer of Western Macedonia will be part of the network of RECloud data centers of the National Network of Infrastructures for Research and Technology GRNET GRNET SA designated by law 47272020 responsible for the cloud of the Research and Education Sector already hosts a large part of RECloud in data centers across the country The act provides for the construction of a building of suitable surface and configuration to house the new data center including the necessary electromechanical installations and IT power information systems of the order of 1215 MW powered by a photovoltaic installation of more than 2 MWp to meet the computing needs of the academic and research community and the University of Western Macedonia
