The purpose of the Act is to support the autonomous stay of a total of 14 people with mental retardation over 18 years old who cannot live independently without appropriate support and the provision of services to them of long stay without interruption throughout the year 24 hours a day in a building complex located at the 5th km of Rhodes Kallithea Avenue which has appropriately designed spaces that meet the most modern standards of safe and comfortable living for people with disabilitiesThe continuation of the above structures achieves The improvement of the quality of life of people with mental retardation who need support services The transition from institutional care to community-based care The enhancement of social cohesion and the prevention of phenomena of marginalization and social exclusion and the fight against mental retardation Discrimination and the promotion of equal opportunitiesThe services provided include accommodation, nutrition, sanitation services and access to medical nursing care and medication, actions to develop self-care, family warmth, protection from abuse and neglect, activities of entertainment, socialization and connection with the community, as well as training and utilization of opportunities to achieve the social integration of the occupants.
