Sustainable urban development today depends not only on the multitude of hard infrastructures of a city such as roads parks sightseeing transportation natural capital but increasingly on the availability and quality of communication of knowledge and social infrastructure intellectual and social capital In this context Digital transformation means better quality of life for all residents while minimizing the consumption of resources by adopting integrated innovative solutions and intelligent technologies The object of this project is therefore the supply of new applications and technological means that will improve the management and functionality of the urban environment in the Municipality of Ioannina The implementation of digital solutions supported by locally produced data aims at more efficient innovative and high-quality services for the benefit of residents of visitors and businesses while the utilization of technologies for the Internet of IoT Objects aims at enhancing the demand for broadband services The actions selected by the Municipality of Ioannina concern the following axes energy savings and reducing the energy footprint of municipal buildingsdigital municipal services to improve the service of citizens and businessesimprovement In this context, the digital transformation systems proposed by the Municipality of Ioannina can offer numerous tools to upgrade the daily life and quality of life of citizens and thus strengthen the local economy
