With the implementation of this project, the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT) aims to develop a modern and integrated Satellite Communications Spectrum Surveillance System (SEFTR), in particular, the SEFD, on the one hand, will be able to detect the location of transmitters, legal or not, as well as those that cause interference even outside the Greek territory, and, on the other hand, will support EETT in all the actions required to serve businesses and public bodies that use or rely on satellite frequencies for their activity in the field of satellite and other space services, as well as citizens consumers who can receive satellite services. Educational and research institutions with European and international organizations and associations and will strengthen Greece's international position in the field of satellite services It is underlined that the European Commission has highlighted the increasing complementarity between satellite terrestrial and submarine connectivity and undertakes a series of initiatives on satellite communications issues including the reform of the satellite spectrum management framework.
