This act concerns the study for the construction of new design classrooms and an amphitheater hall as well as the construction of a new large amphitheater at the Technical University of Crete In particular, it is provided for 1 New design classrooms It is necessary to expand the design classrooms with the construction of new modern and well-equipped rooms with a loft that will add to both the capacity and the possibilities of presenting and teaching the offered programs. to be built approximately 1900 sqm New classroom of amphitheatrical design with a capacity of 120 seats and an area of approximately 270 sqm It is located in a position northwest of the existing amphitheatre building A2 in the central core of the Polytechnic University It will include the necessary support areas space of WC projection equipment etc. and movement areas3 New amphitheater New large amphitheater with a capacity of 8001000 people which will serve the needs of general courses and trunk the conduction of competitions of examination periods and gatherings for mass information of the Polytechnic Community During the design of the new amphitheater any special requirements will be taken into account so that it can be used beyond the conduct of courses and other events related to the academic function The sizes and the location of the New Amphitheater are set at approximately 3600 sqm with a basement section in a position north of the existing buildings CHIMPER
