The object of the project is the decontamination of the soil resources of the western front of Thessaloniki through the application of a series of restoration methods that have been judged to be the most appropriate based on the specific characteristics of the area and the restoration targets that have been set.The project comes to solve a chronic problem of the western front of Thessaloniki.The uncontrolled activities that have been developed in the previous years in the area resulted in the obvious and proven burden of the subsoil as reflected by the implementation of the TerraMed project which has a variety of negative effects on both the natural and man-made environment, which makes it necessary to immediately restore the subsoil.
