The digitization of the Library of the Theological School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens is a digital intervention of great importance for the preservation, storage and exhibition of cultural documents and cultural heritage The digitization will enable digital visitors to have access through digital interaction to historical exhibits or documents The digitization will also be given access to the digitized material by researchers with disabilities and citizens in general through an online application for management and promotion The archival material of the library includes historical and rare collections of books of periodicals and paleotypes The project aims at the digitization of 3000 paleotypes of unique collections from brochures and other rare publications and 100000 books and periodicals of theological history of archaeological, philosophical and sociological interest
