Network of Technology Transfer Cooperation of the Agricultural University of Athens, the Panteion University of Piraeus and the University of Thessaly

Technology transfer is the key factor in translating the results generated within Greek universities into tangible products and services that will have a great impact on the environment, the economy and society In order for the process of technology transfer to be carried out in a coordinated way that facilitates universities in their cooperation with external bodies, it is necessary to create and strengthen internal structures within universities with specialized executives who will have the ability to support the research and academic community to turn its research into cutting-edge areas for the economy such as the digitalisation of processes, the transition to a circular economy, single health, climate change mitigation, etc. It recognizes the most effective way to protect intellectual property with a view to its further commercial exploitation. This Action aims at the consolidation and maturation of such structures where they exist and their connection with newly established structures in order to exchange knowledge and good practices with the ultimate goal of convergence towards the level of support services offered to the academic community of universities The present Action through the cooperation of four major universities Agricultural University of Athens University of Piraeus Panteion University and University of Thessaly coordinated by the Agricultural University of Athens will contribute decisively in this direction with the aim of having multiplier benefits for universities and society by promoting interdisciplinary and interdisciplinarity and looking forward to the maturation of innovative ventures that will link the agronomic sciences health sciencesbiotechnology with socioeconomic sciences
