Phase A of the Project was implemented by GRNET SA in the framework of the OP Public Sector Reform in the programming period of the NSRF 20142020 with the co-funding of Greece and the European UnionThe installation of infrastructure and the provision of support services to academic and research institutions in the country concern 60 long-term leases of IRU fiber optic cables for the interconnection of branches of entities as well as 3000 Ethernet switches and more than 80 routers construction of a microtrench with a total length of more than 20 km and installation of more than 580 intercontinental and 390 intercontinental fiber optic cables with a total length of 180 km as well as 21000 IP phones.
