The purpose of MH 1 is to solve the problem of smooth passage of rainwater runoff from the settlements of Simandra and N Gonia in order to eliminate the flood risks observed in these areas with the ultimate goal of protecting properties and roads from flooding phenomena, but also to smoothly guide the accumulated runoff from the watercourses of Simandra and Nea Kallikratia to their final recipients.
