The National Network for Research and Technology GRNET SA in collaboration with the National Blood Donor Centre EKEA aim to substantially upgrade the organization and electronicization of the National Blood Donation System In this context, the purpose of this project is to expand the project Central Electronic Services for the Management of the National Blood Donor Register funded by the OP Digital Convergence 200713 MIS 453302 in such a way that the National Blood Donation System can effectively implement the European quality and traceability requirements of Directive 200561EC and 200562EC, but also to improve the internal organization and operation of blood donation services of blood centers and EKEA through the use of electronic systems and applications and in other daily procedures of the operation of the blood donation sector. The scope of this project is the procurement of a horizontal blood donation information system for the management of blood and blood products, the management of transfusions, the support of haemovigilance and the management of haemotherapy.
