The excavations carried out by the Italian Archaeological School and the competent Ephorate of Antiquities of Lesvos brought to light antiquities that document the continuous habitation in the area from the Late Bronze Age until the Byzantine times Among the numerous monuments of the city stand out the ancient theater and the sanctuary of the gods of all for their monumentality, which in the context of the project are formed and highlighted.
