Monitoring the quality of the country's surface water Identification of priority substances and specific pollutants

The General Chemical State Laboratory (GCSL) is one of the operating bodies of the National Monitoring Network for the qualitative and quantitative status of waters (Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change) (Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change) (Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change) (Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change) (10716814442021 B 5384) and carries out laboratory analyses of surface water samples for priority chemical parameters and specific pollutants. The results of these laboratory analyses are evaluated and sent together with relevant assessment reports by the GCSL to the competent Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change (Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change), which takes them into account in order to capture the quantitative and qualitative status of water used for the preparation of River Basin Management Plans and in general for the achievement of the environmental objectives of Presidential Decree 512007. Sample distribution per year will be established in cooperation with the Directorate for the Protection and Management of the Water Environment of the Directorate-General for Water of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy. Sampling will be carried out by the bodies designated in Joint Ministerial Decision No MINISTER 10716814442021 Β 5384 and the samples will be examined in the laboratories of the A Chemical Service of Athens and the Chemical Service of Epirus and Western Macedonia Ioannina. The total duration of the project will be six 6 years 20242029
