The PROMETHEUS operation aims to create and upgrade cutting-edge research infrastructures at the Institute of Soil and Water Resources of ELGODIMITRA Through the procurement of specialized equipment and technologies, the operation aspires to enhance the Institute's ability to address modern environmental and agricultural challenges.The proposal includes equipment that contributes to the monitoring and management of soil and water resources focusing on the sustainable use of natural resources and the improvement of the efficiency of agricultural systems.The central objective is to promote environmental protection and sustainable development in the Region of Central Macedonia.With the use of the new infrastructure, IEYP will be able to apply specialized methods for the maintenance of soil fertility, the reduction of the use of natural resources and the efficient management of water.In addition, the technologies that will be developed will contribute to the production of biofuels and other high added value bio-based products, enhancing the sustainability of the agricultural sector.Finally, the PROMETHEUS operation is aligned with the strategic priorities of the National Smart Specialization Strategy RIS3 enhancing the sustainability and competitiveness of the Region of Central Macedonia.
