The University of Western Macedonia by decision of the Senate and the individual decisions of Schools and Departments plans the establishment and operation of the following English-speaking Departments of Studies School of Midwifery based in PtolemaidaCreative Writing Arts and Humanities Program of Studies Economics and Sustainable Development based in KastoriaThese departments and Programs of Studies are addressed exclusively to foreign students It is noted that the University of Western Macedonia seeks to become through the proposed English-speaking Departments a pole of attraction for students from the Western Balkans The aim of the English-speaking Departments is to design and promote a competitive set of modern studies in the aforementioned scientific fields by strengthening students with scientific sociological and technological knowledge and skills At the same time the new departments of the University will promote their networking with academic institutions research centers scientific bodies at national and international levelThe reception and support of international students will be an integrated and distinct service of the University of Western Macedonia Macedonia's Faculties and Departments established or managed the English-language Programs It will be coherently linked to educational support social adaptation and promotion of professional rehabilitation of International Students
