The multiple crises triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic have a knock-on effect on all sectors of the Greek economy In particular on trade, the effects of the violent digital transformation and the intensified green transformation change the structure of commercial enterprises, re-signify labour relations in the sector and give rise to new and long-term challenges. Addressing these particularly intensified challenges is necessary to promote social cohesion, reduce regional inequalities and strengthen economic democracy. On the basis of this Act, it is estimated that it will strengthen the institutional capacity of the Hellenic Confederation of Commerce Entrepreneurship (ESEE) in its role as the only institutional and most reliable intermediary between society and the State on issues related to commerce. In particular, systemic contribution actions will be implemented in the areas of digital green transformation of consumer expenditure monitoring.
