With this act is planned by the Region of Western Greece the energy upgrade of the building of the Messolonghi Governorate The proposed act is expected to produce multiple benefits for the Beneficiary upon its completion Initially contributes to the achievement of the objectives set by the PIP through the Energy Performance of Buildings Plan it has drawn up Reduces significantly its environmental footprint as it upgrades its largest consumer and saves significant resources from the operating costs of the building which it will be able to use in other actions More specifically with the implementation of the project the PIP will achieve 1 Reduced energy consumption Through the upgrade significantly reduces the energy consumption for heating, lighting and operation of electrical appliances leading to lower energy bills 2Environmental benefits Reducing energy consumption leads to a reduction of CO2 emissions contributing to the reduction of climate change 3Improvement of the indoor environment The use of thermal break frame insulation and improved ventilation and air conditioning systems improves air quality and comfort of users 4Durability and lifetime Through energy Upgrading the building becomes more resilient to climate change and acquires a longer lifespan In conclusion, the energy upgrade will contribute overall to economic, social and environmental benefits, making the building more functional and environmentally friendly.
