Maintenance restoration and promotion of the Katholikon of the Holy Monastery of Saints Asomaton Petrakis

The Holy Monastery of Asomaton Petrakis built in the 10th century is one of the oldest churches in Athens that survive and function until today It was named so because it was renovated in 1673 by the Hieromonk and wealthy doctor Parthenios Petrakis The church and its surrounding area was characterized as a historic listed monument in 1963. Within the framework of the project it is necessary to make a coordinated and universal restoration of the Catholicon of the Holy Monastery of Asomaton Petraki by strengthening the foundation and binding of the pedestal of the dome with the definitive treatment of cracks, corrosion and dismantling of coatings and frames and by waterproofing the roofs.
