The proposed Act firstly concerns the implementation of the Action Plans for Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination In particular, within the framework of the Act, a Support Office of the Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination Committee will be established and will operate at the University of Macedonia This office will support the implementation of the Action Plans for Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination In addition, actions are included that indicatively aim at i integrating the gender dimension into the organizational culture of the University of Macedonia ii to collect analysis and recording of data on the gender of the University Community iii to draft guidelines and a toolbox on relevant issues iv to implement actions for the balanced participation of women and men in decision-making positions and their professional development as well as actions to combat sexual violence and harassment Second, the Act concerns the strengthening of the operation of the Psychological Support and Counselling Centre that already operates at the University of Macedonia. to students ii to enhance early intervention through the helpline iii to their mental empowerment through the creation of mental resilience spaces iv to raise awareness of the academic community and reduce stigma to mental health through awareness-raising actions on relevant issues and v to prevent stagnant attendance through psychological and counseling support
