In recent years, internationalization has evolved from a marginal activity to a key aspect of the strategy of universities In particular, the internationalization of Greek universities presents as one of the main pillars of survival in the conditions of intense global competition that prevail, but also as an important tool for the development of the National Economy. The ultimate goal of the proposed action for internationalization and extroversion is to strengthen the image and prestige of the HOU as well as to improve its position in the international ranking tables, thus contributing to the country's emergence as an international education center in Southeastern Europe.
