Provision is made for the establishment and operation of a Research and Innovation Office in the Region of Epirus with the following key responsibilities and functionsa The assistance of the Region of Epirus for the implementation of the Smart Specialisation Strategy of the Regionb The recording and general monitoring of the performance of the Region of Epirus in the fields of research and innovation in order to implement planned individual policies for the promotion of the innovative character and diversification of the Region of Epirus The creation of a database that will reflect all the elements related to and affecting entrepreneurship, research and innovation in the regionc The organisation and monitoring of the Business Discovery Process in the context of the regional dimension of the ESEE d The coordination and empowerment of all actors of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem of the Region of Epirus Intermediation between the academic research community and businesses at local and supra-local level with a view to increasing technology transfer agreements, the systematic exchange of knowledge and the use of the results of studies and research to be implemented The preparation of annual monitoring reports of the Smart Specialisation Strategy in the Region of Epirus and the support of the Regional Research and Innovation Council
