The project concerns the creation of a single network of routes for the unification of the archaeological sites of Messara with a symbolic focus and starting point the new Museum of MessaraThe creation of an integrated network of routes that will cover almost all of the monuments and archaeological sites of Messara will be organized in individual thematic routes depending on the specific features of each area while at the same time it will function complementary with existing projects but also with new tourist products e.g. European Mountain Trail E4 in the area of Zaros Vorizia and Kamares local nature walks of the municipalities of Phaistos and Gortyna Wine Routes Religious Routes of Crete etc. will connect the gorge of Agios Nikolaos in Psiloritis with Agiofarago in Asterousia The 5th local route will concern the tour of the archaeological site of Gortys always starting from the Archaeological Museum of Messara
