The SodaSense operation concerns the management of high volume data collected by sensors and related to micro-movements, microclimate and agriculture and aims to form an intelligent platform with a research social and business orientation The services of the platform combine the collection, storage, analysis, visualization and data mining to improve the quality of life in urban centers through the redesign of the city and micro-movements and the support of key economic activities such as tourism and agriculture especially of small and medium-sized enterprises that make up the largest part of the economic backbone of the Region of Peloponnese The SodaSense operation is designed to support the objectives of the RIS3 smart specialization of the Region of Peloponnese as it strengthens with specific services the coordination of public services and the decision making of the relevant political decisions in the sectors in which it specializes The SodaSense operation through the new services it will offer in the sectors of micro-movements of the microclimate of agriculture and tourism will provide its users with information tools and services relating to the use of new technologies in micro-climate and agriculture b the collection of relevant data and c the use of data to improve urban life; leveraging tourism; supporting agricultural production and better support for decision-making in the Peloponnese Region The SodaSense operation will provide additional opportunities and services to the academic community in researching in professional associations private and public infrastructure operators independent public authorities and governments to support original research projects and policies The SodaSense operation will complete the existing research background by participating in the creation of new and strengthening existing networks at local and regional level that will ensure knowledge and information flows with the aim of attracting highly skilled human capital as well as developing entrepreneurship in the region
