REHABILITATION IN CLASSIARS OF CITY CASTLE AND THE FORMAT OF THE ENVIRONMENT The katholikon of the I Monastery of Taxiarches in Polichni building of the end of the 10th century is located north of the settlement of Polichni It belongs to the rare variant of a cross-inscribed church with the western part of the cross condensed The dome has a cylindrical drum and is reinforced internally with two intersecting ribs an element unusual in Byzantine churches of the Greek area In the north east and south of the temple are preserved ruins of a fortification enclosure in which at least 3 building phases are recognized.share on FacebookTwitterLinkedinEmailreport an issue
