RESTORATION OF THE HISTORICAL CONSERVATION OF A NEOCLASSICAL BUILDING The Mansion Matala one of the most important neoclassical buildings of the city of Sparta has been characterized as a work of art and as a historical listed monument that needs special state protection The listed building is developed on three levels underground ground floor and floor in shape C with facade on Leonidio and Lykourgos streets on a plot of 93900 sqm and a four-arched tile roof with important neoclassical architectural and decorative elements The upper floor was used as the residence of Demosthenis Partalas and the ground floor functioned as a cafe the famous cafe Matala Belongs to the National Defence Fund and in this operates the Club of Officers Sparta The object of this project is the architectural mophological and firm restoration of the casing of the Preserved Monument as well as internal interventions associated with the protection of the monumentshare on FacebookTwitterLinkedinEmailreport an issue
