The wider area of Nafplio as well as the beach of Arvanitia which is located right at the foot of Palamidi receive on an annual basis a very large number of visitors In this area and especially in the walking route of Arvanitia which is located between the rock of Palamidi and the southern foothills of Acronafplia there are large landslides over time with more recent ones of June 2018 and August 2019 as a result of detachments of pieces and rocks of different dimensions.
