The project is implemented in 2 phases Phase A' at the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change and Phase B' at the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change according to the Separation Bulletin The fire is a catastrophic phenomenon that can significantly affect human life as it may have significant effects on the atmosphere of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems Direct effects of fire is the burning of materials, the release of metals, the volatilization of components in the atmosphere changes in the properties of the soil, the production of ash, the decarbonization of materials with the risk of creating dangerous residues such as heavy metals asbestos etc. The present project ELMAKI aims to capture the environmental situation that has been formed in the areas of Mati and Kinetta in Eastern Attica after the deadly fires in 2018 regarding the presence of heavy metals in soil aqueous samples as well as asbestos in constructions.
