The shielding of the windward pier of Heraklion Port in front of the Koules Fortress will help to save this important monument that is identical to the history of the place that is in danger in time of peace while it withstood the longest siege in the history of Europe The project concerns the shielding of the windward pier in the area of the Venetian fortress Rocca a Mare Koules and includes, among other things, works for the shielding of port works with natural boulders originating from a quarry of an individual weight of 2500 4000 kg.
