The project concerns the upgrading and integration of archaeological sites in the lowland part of the Regional Unit of the Prefecture of Xanthi and aims at the interconnection of cultural and ecological tourism More specifically, the project combines the archaeological sites and monuments of the area with the natural and man-made environment Starting from the Museum and the archaeological site of Avdira, which is one of the best organized archaeological sites of the Prefecture of Xanthi, it aims at the integration of a set of monuments and the creation of an open archaeological park in a network of diachronic tours. Phase B, which will be implemented in the Programming Period 2021-2027, will complete the physical object as described in the TDIH II Phase of the Project concerns the restoration of the architectural remains of Polystylos, the shaping of their surrounding area and their preservation for future generations.
