The project aims to develop actions for gender equality in the Municipality of Athens through the implementation of the European Charter for Gender Equality in order to promote the gender perspective in political initiatives and actions of the Municipality of Athens and to develop a framework for preventing and addressing gender discrimination and inequalities In this context, it is planned to create and operate a Women's Advisory Centre for preventing and combating gender-based violence and multiple discrimination where multidisciplinary services will be provided by specialized staff to women who face all forms of violence and multiple discrimination e.g. unemployed migrant refugees with disabilities etc. in order to support in a holistic and integrated way the needs of these population groups. networking and awareness-raising with national and local bodies for the dissemination of the services of the Advisory Centre in order to meet the needs of the people served, but also for the better development of the cooperation of competent bodies through referrals and complementarity of actions in a comprehensive advisory intervention.
