The project concerns the creation of a Green Point in Giannitsa of the Prefecture of Pella, the main purpose of which is to contribute to the objectives of European and national legislation as reflected in the National and Regional Waste Management Plan of the National Waste Management Plan and the Regional Waste Management Plan respectively for the separate collection of recyclable materials in addition to the Sorting Networks at the Source of discrete streams of recyclable materials. During the first phase of its operation, the Green Point of Giannitsa will receive about 20 distinct streams of materials to be recycled or reusedIt will have a storage capacity of 150 tons and will have the ability to receive up to 1800 tons of materials in the yearFor the creation and operation of the Green Point of Giannitsa, the project includes the construction of the necessary infrastructure projects, earthworks roads networks and other infrastructure projects, the supply of equipment, storage media and equipment for the needs of operation of the installation and management of materials, and the necessary publicity actions.
