It concerns Phase B of a segmented operation which includes the construction of the extension of the existing Thessaloniki Water Treatment Facility EENTH so that the current capacity of the facility to treat 150000 m3 of water per day is doubled This means practically increasing the amount of clean drinking water that can be supplied by the EENTH by 150000 m3 per day. The implementation of the project will have multiple and particularly significant benefits for the city of Thessaloniki, the wider region of Thessaloniki and for the Region of Central Macedonia in general as through it 1 Clean drinking water will be ensured to serve new areas where it is proven that problems have been identified in the quality of the water available to their residents.
