The action will finance the segmented phasing operation in accordance with Article 118a of the CPR 20212027 entitled Sewerage Networks and Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Facility of the coastal settlements of Koutsouras Makry Gialos, Municipality of Ierapetra and Analipsi, Municipality of Lasithi, Municipality of Ierapetra and concerning the management of liquid waste in the area. Specifically, the project concerns the second phase in the implementation of the required management infrastructure, collection, treatment, disposal of urban wastewater from the coastal settlements of Koutsouras and Makry Gialos, Municipality of Ierapetra and Analipsi, Municipality of Sitia, in the Prefecture of Lassithi. More specifically, it includes the construction of a wastewater collection and transport network in 2 sectors. The implementation of the project will ensure the good quality of bathing water and groundwater contributing to the protection of marine and terrestrial flora and fauna and to the development of an important coastal tourist areaThe project complies with the directives and regulations of the European acquis and with the Wastewater Management Plan of the Water District of Crete.
