Development of Smart Management and Information Solutions for Smart Parking Traffic and Smart Stops in the Municipality of Patras The object of the project is the development of smart city solutions to inform the citizens and visitors of the center of Patras about parking spaces tthe traffic traffic and smart stops Public Transportation More specifically, the project includes the following sub-systems Traffic monitoring and travel time calculation System Ground sensor network to check the availability of roadside parking System to check the availability of free parking spaces in outdoor municipal areas Network of variable message signs that will be a basic channel for informing passing vehicles and citizens about the traffic conditions within the city Smart Stop signs for public transport The purpose of the project is to collect and make available data relating to traffic in the urban fabric of the Municipality of Patras and the real-time parking possibilities through multiple communication channels Through the infrastructure and applications that will be developed the Municipality of Patras will have real-time supervision of traffic conditions and events in main roads and availability of roadside parking spaces With the implementation of the project, the Municipality of Patras will develop the necessary tools for the management of the city's main roads since the system has been designed taking as its scope the urban center of Patras and its main roads The system is expected to bring about an improvement in the traffic flow of the city's main roads since users will be able to receive real-time information on the prevailing traffic conditions and use the fastest route to reach their destinationshare on FacebookTwitterLinkedinEmailreport an issue
