The Municipality of Mytilene with the proposed act GA MS aims at the gradual approach of a more sustainable management of solid waste in order to make the changes required to achieve the objectives of European and Greek Legislation where at the core of proper waste management lies the requirement of reducing the amount of waste generated, increasing the re-use of recycling and recovery of materials and energy and drastically reducing the waste that is led to burial
