The project will upgrade the system to better alert citizens to weather-related emergencies, which will become more frequent due to climate change. The system will make an important contribution to better protecting human lives and reducing damage in the event of natural disasters. It will be based on observations, measurements, forecasts and warnings from the competent state service. At the same time, it will provide climate information and projections for the long-term reduction of disaster-related risks under changed climate conditions. The project will renew web content for public information and warning, develop and upgrade tools for effective information and warning of dangerous meteorological, hydrological and oceanographic conditions and emergencies, and upgrade the measuring and information infrastructure for continuous monitoring and forecasting of meteorological, hydrological and oceanographic conditions.
