The subject of the investment is the arrangement of the Slovenj Gradec Sports Park. This ensures a more efficient use of the existing space in the urban area and the exploitation of its internal potentials. The project is aimed at the renovation and revitalization of already built-up areas and pursues the goal of establishing a modern, green and sustainably designed urban environment. The less used area is being revitalized, which is being transformed into a functional public space with new plantings, well-maintained sports and recreation areas and spaces for socializing and relaxation. Particular emphasis is placed on social inclusion and ensuring accessibility for all residents, including vulnerable groups. This strengthens community cohesion, promotes healthy lifestyles and sustainable mobility. At the same time, the investment strengthens the economic development of the city, as improved infrastructure attracts recreational tourism and opens up new opportunities for the local economy. It thus makes an important contribution to the overall regeneration of the urban area and increases the quality of life of all inhabitants. The project will enable the revitalization of 6,996 m2 of renovated and previously underutilized land.
