The goal of the Slovenian Centre for Circular Economy is to promote sustainable development and efficient use of resources through the introduction of circular business models, the reduction of waste and the promotion of innovation in production and consumption. In doing so, we want to reduce our environmental footprint and create sustainable economic growth and social inclusion. The project includes the development of a holistic virtual platform with a wide range of services and tools for networking key actors from the research, business and civil sector, the implementation of educational programs, trainings and workshops, and consulting for all stakeholders, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), local communities and public administration, various publics. The CKG will also establish virtual and physical entry points throughout Slovenia, providing stakeholders with access to relevant information and services, as well as for the transition to a circular economy. CKG will be a partner for political decision-makers and the Ministry in promoting green transformation in Slovenia. The partnership brings together different economic sectors and involves key players from industry, academia and research institutions, enabling a systemic transformation of the economy towards a circular model. The project will contribute to greater competitiveness and sustainability of the Slovenian economy and support the goals of Slovenia's strategic documents in the field of green transition.
